Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

The short version: your games never leave your browser. The longer version covers advertising, which does involve third parties.

Who we are

This policy covers the website scoremyfarkle.com ("the site", "we"). You can reach us at hello@scoremyfarkle.com about anything in this policy.

What we store, and where

The site has no user accounts, no login and no database. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal detail, and there is no server-side record of you having visited.

The scorekeeper saves the following in your own browser, using localStorage:

This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, we cannot read it, and it does not sync between your devices. You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site, or by using Clear leaderboard on the stats screen. Note that player names are whatever you type — if you would rather not store real names on the device, use nicknames.

Advertising

The site is funded by advertising served by Google, through Google AdSense. This means third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your device in order to serve ads.

Advertising scripts are only loaded after you accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, no advertising cookies are set by us and the scorekeeper works exactly the same.

Analytics

We do not run any analytics, tracking pixels or heat-mapping tools. Our web host may keep standard server access logs — the usual IP address, timestamp, page requested and user agent — which are used for security and to keep the site running, not to build a profile of you.

Children

Farkle is a family game and children may well use this site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us and we will investigate, though as described above there is normally nothing for us to hold.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data about you, and to object to it being used for direct marketing. Because we hold no personal data about visitors, we usually have nothing to give you or delete — but you are welcome to ask, and we will tell you honestly what exists.

For advertising data held by Google rather than by us, use the Google Ads Settings link above, or contact Google directly.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

Where required, advertising and any non-essential cookies are only used with your consent, given through the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will make the banner appear again. Storage strictly necessary for the scorekeeper to function — your game in progress and your settings — is used on the basis of legitimate interest and never leaves your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change with it. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
